Luxury Safari Tent with Private Hot Tub, South West
Kilve Lodge comfortably sleeps up to six guests in three separate bedroom spaces, this safari tent is perfect for family glamping or couple stays with a king bed in one room, a twin room with two single beds and a quirky king size cupboard bed. The private ensuite bathroom is at the back of the safari tent accessed via either the king or twin room. It is divided into two sections, a spacious wash room on one side with proper flushing loo and basin, and a large walk in shower on the other side. The hot water for this tent is automatic in the bathrooms and kitchen.
In the sitting room there is a leather sofa and armchair near the large wood burning stove. There's a farmhouse dining table and the well equipped kitchen has a decent sized fridge/freezer and all the pans and cooking utensils etc you need to prepare meals. All the crockery, glasses, cutlery and serving bowls you'll need are also provided along with cafetiers, teapots etc. There's also a small electric hob if you want to heat something quickly without lighting the wood burner. The tent has LED lighting as well as candles and a couple of electric sockets for charging a phone or laptop.
The elevated deck has rattan seating and gorgeous views over open farmland towards the Exmoor hills. Our herd of alpaca live close by and you should be able to see them from your lodge. The wood fired hot tub (optional extra) is close by the tent along with a firepit area, picnic table and hammock. The hot tub for this lodge is tucked around the side in the corner of the field so a good choice for guests wanting extra privacy as the side of the lodge is not overlooked.
This safari tent is not dog or pet friendly, so an ideal choice for guests with allergies.
See below for our list of what's included and items we suggest you pack and here for an explanation about our bed linen.
There is a poultry farm on the other side of the lane from this lodge, so you may well hear the morning chorus and if the fox comes by in the night the farm dogs will bark to tell him to buzz off!
There's no WiFi for our glamping but we have a good 4G signal around the farm so you can stay connected if you need to. The EE mast is above our village so we find this network works best for our glampers.
