Glamping & Holiday Cottages On a Working Farm with Animals
You'll find an assortment of friendly animals on our 32 acre farm. We farm as naturally as possible and choose to have rare and interesting breeds rather than their commercial cousins. If you're looking for a glamping site with animals, you've come to the right place! At the moment we have a flock of chickens, couple of geese, Mangalitsa pigs, a mixed flock of sheep who have their lambs in March, a herd of alpaca and 3 farm dogs.
Because of the sustainable way we farm, the fields and hedges are full of wildlife. Look carefully and you could spot barn owls, buzzards, pheasants, hedgehogs, frogs, House Martins (similar to Swallows) foxes, voles and there are rabbits everywhere here!
Please note you will hear animals during your stay! There is baaing from sheep, clucking from hens and cockerels, our neighbours have cows, ponies and dogs and there are tractors around too. The safari tents have canvas walls so farm noise is all part of the glamping experience!

Family Friendly Farm Holidays in the South West
There's always something going on around the farm, there's never a dull moment in the countryside. Our chickens free-range everywhere, if you're staying in the cabin or cottage they may well wander into your gardens too. Because they are happy hens forging in the grass they each lay an egg everyday so there are always lots of fresh eggs available in our shop.
Our sheep are usually split up into a couple of paddocks as we keep the rams and ewes separate unless it's November when they have their annual love fest! We start lambing in late March and there are usually a few orphans for any guest's children who'd like to help with bottle feeding during April and May.
The goats are living in one of the glamping field paddocks this year, we have five of them, they're very friendly. If you're staying in Buzzard, Lodge or Kestrel Safari Tents you'll be close by the goats.
We keep our alpacas as pets and they live in the large field near Bossington, Kilve and Porlock Lodges, all but one alpaca are boys and the female has a baby every summer, we hope she'll have a girl this year as she's very outnumbered!
We always have pigs on the farm and our sausages and bacon are available in our shop or as part of a breakfast hamper
