Our Life on The Farm
Tired of our previous jobs in the South East, we dreamed of a slower, more sustainable life and in 2014, we made that happen. We found Middle Stone Farm and a year and a bit later opened our eco-accommodation to guests.
We’d never farmed before, but through plenty of trial and error, we’ve found our way. We now farm using organic principles and each winter you’ll find us out planting trees and hedgerows, digging in swales to channel rainwater and always looking for ways to tread more lightly on the land.
We feel lucky to live in such a peaceful and relatively unknown corner of the country. West Somerset is a bit of a secret, tucked well away from the main tourist trail and we love sharing it with our guests. Exmoor National Park is right on our doorstep: wild, beautiful, and full of hidden gems. We’re always happy to share our favourite walks, rivers for wild swimming and places to eat.
Outside glamping you'll find Patrick at his Weber smoker, dabbling with wine or doing tree work and Catherine is an artist.
