Family Glamping Holidays in the South West
We’re a very family-friendly glamping site, with plenty of space for children to burn off energy and enjoy the great outdoors. If you’re looking for a proper child-friendly farm holiday, you’re definitely in the right place! We have two children’s play areas on the farm, plus lots of open meadow space for running free, inventing games and generally being gloriously outdoors.
In the field with Kestrel, Hawk and Buzzard Lodges, you’ll find swings, two climbing frames, a couple of mini ride-on tractors, a tyre racetrack, plus table tennis in a covered area. These three tents are a great choice if you’re glamping with younger children, as the play areas are within easy view of the lodges - so you can relax on your deck while keeping an eye on the action.
By late June and early July, the grass in the glamping fields grows long and swishy, dotted with wildflowers. We mow winding paths through the meadow to the lodges, farm shop and play areas, making it feel a bit like a secret adventure trail.
If you have your own table tennis bats or badminton rackets, do bring them along. Ours are well-loved and, during busy periods, have been known to vanish into the long grass when children are having a good time. We sell table tennis balls for 30p in the shop, along with new bats and badminton rackets for when our communal sets go missing.
There’s also a second play area in the neighbouring glamping field with more swings, a tractor-wheel climbing frame, giant tractor-wheel hopscotch, and a climbing hill with a tunnel running through it. This play area sits to the side of the safari tents, so it isn’t directly in view of the lodges.
Middle Stone Farm is a wonderful place for a family holiday, and many of our families return year after year — which we think says it all.
