Family Friendly & Dog Friendly Safari Tent on a Working Somerset Farm
Buzzard Safari Tent comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Perfect for family glamping or couple stays, it has three bedrooms - a king room, twin room and a quirky double cupboard bed which children love! At the back of the safari tent is a spacious private bathroom divided into a wash room with basin and proper flushing loo, and a large shower room on the other side. You don't have to go outside to use the bathroom, it's accessed via either the king or twin room. The hot water for this tent is automatic in the bathrooms and kitchen.
The tent kitchen is well equipped with lots of pans, crockery, cutlery and glasses etc. There's a mini fridge/freezer, up-cycled dresser, an electric hob if you want to heat something quickly without lighting the wood stove and there's a large farmhouse table and chairs. The sitting room has two sofas and coffee table and there is more rattan seating on the front deck. Cooking and heating are via the large wood burning stove in the heart of the lodge and a generous amount of firewood is provided. The tent has LED lighting and a couple of sockets suitable for charging a phone or laptop. There's no WiFi but we have a good 4G signal on the farm if you need to stay connected.
Outside the safari tent is a wood fired hot tub (optional extra), hammock, firepit area and picnic table.
Buzzard is on the left of the three safari tents in this field and nearest our shop and wood store, the car park is easy to get to and less than a minute's walk away. Click here for our farm map. We allow 2 well behaved dogs to stay in Buzzard Lodge, please note your dog must be booked in on your reservation form, please don't turn up with a dog with out telling us. Our dog information including info about the dog run paddock (for time off their leads) is here.
