GLAMPING CABIN WITH HOT TUB
With views across open farmland dotted with rare breed sheep, geese and alpacas, The Deckhouse is a converted wooden cabin perfect for couples or families. It is quirky and rustic, we describe it as half holiday cottage - half glamping. It's on the other side of the farm from the safari lodges so ideal if you are looking for a bit of privacy as no-one over looks you apart from the sheep!
The Deckhouse sleeps a couple and up to two children; there is a king bed in the main bedroom and a mini bunk room at the other end of the building. The bunk room is small with narrow beds suitable for children, not adults. There is a modern shower room with plenty of hot water on demand and a wood burning stove with firewood provided in the middle of the cabin.
The kitchen is equipped with mini-oven/double hob, microwave, little retro style fridge-freezer and table with ercol chairs. The kitchen is quite bijou, if you're coming for a long break we suggest instead of doing a big supermarket shop, you use our shop onsite and shop regularly as the fridge is small. The open plan sitting room has a comfy sofa, wall mounted television, books & games and colourful bits & pieces. All the bed linen, towels and logs for your fire are provided. You can buy charcoal in our shop for the barbecue!
The Deckhouse looks a bit like a small cricket pavilion, it's white washed with a front deck veranda with seats to enjoy the view. Outside you have your own wood fired hot tub and a store of logs nearby. For 2018 bookings the hot tub is included in the price. From 2019 the hot tub for The Deckhouse will be come an an optional extra, you'll find our prices and details about using the hot tubs here.
There's a tripod barbecue, picnic bench and deckchairs. We have animals very close by, a sheep will probably poke its head through the fence and bleat at you and Molly and Wilbur our dogs may wander over if they smell something on your barbecue!
The Deckhouse is open all year round, it's well insulated and it's perfectly warm throughout the seasons, the efficient wood burning stove throws out a lot of heat! Head to our booking page for prices and please look at our FAQ which will give you lots more information regarding things like check in times etc.
