Self Catering Holiday Cottage with Private Hot Tub
Family Friendly Holiday Cottage on a Working Somerset Farm
The Stable Cottage at Middle Stone Farm is a ground floor stable conversion with a high ceiling, open plan living space and two cheerfully painted bedrooms suitable for a couple or family of four. The main bedroom at one end of the cottage has a king bed suitable for two adults, and the second bedroom is for children with a pair of small beds suitable for two children under 12 years of age. The bedrooms and living areas are cheerful and bright with colourful throws and lots of pictures. The spacious shower room is in the centre of the cottage.
The open plan kitchen and living space has a wood burning stove, comfy sofas, cheerful rugs, mirrors and pictures set against colourful walls. It has all the mod cons - TV/DVD player, WiFi (rural speed!), central heating, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, double oven and fridge/freezer etc. There are board games, DVDs and plenty of books to borrow during your holiday and an old piano too if you fancy a sing-song (although it is not very well tuned)!
Access to the terrace garden and private wood fired hot tub is from outside via a wooden gate. The cottage views are mostly towards our barns, new apple orchard and farmland scattered with a menagerie of animals. The wood burning hot tub is an optional extra, hire prices and details about how the hot tub works are here.
The holiday cottage is lovely for a couple, or if you're a family it's also child, toddler and baby friendly. There are children's books and DVDS, we also provide children's crockery and cutlery and a basket of toys. There is space for a single travel cot in either bedroom. Please note children over the age of 1 count towards the occupancy and the cottage sleeps a maximum of two children.
The cottage is close to the farm house and farm barns, our dogs live close by, they are friendly and very used to our guests and small children visiting but will most likely bark when you arrive to tell us someone is here!
The Cottage is not dog friendly, if you'd like to stay on our farm with a dog please choose one of our dog friendly safari lodges (Buzzard, Hawk and Kestrel). No smoking inside please or near the hot tub. If you want to stay when our safari tents are closed, and you're a couple with a small dog, do get in touch, we might be able to bend our rules when we're not busy.
There is parking close to the cottage for a single car, directions here and parking instructions will be sent to you by email a few days before you arrive.
Please note if you have booked our cottage for two adults we will only make up the king bed in the main bedroom, (the children's bedroom is not available for adult stays).
There's a list of what's included and what we suggest you pack below. There's a note about bedding and bed linen here.
Here is our Farm Map so you can see the position of the cottage in relation to our other accommodation.
