Wood Fires & Fire Pit Glamping
We provide a generous amount of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches to heat your safari tent and to cook on during your stay. If you have hired a hot tub we'll provide extra firewood for heating your hot tub water too. All the firewood for our glamping and holiday cottage comes from sustainable forestry close by on Exmoor. Our logs are seasoned and dry so you can enjoy gathering around your fire in the evening to toast marshmallows and relax with family and friends.
Outside each tent is a firepit style barbecue, we recommend using charcoal for cooking which is available in our shop. If you prefer to burn logs on your barbecue we don't supply extra for this, you may find you have enough in the net we've given you to use inside your tent, but if you want more you can either buy it from us, or pick up twigs and fallen branches in the little woodland along our drive. If you're burning wood outside please make sure you burn dry seasoned twigs, not wet wood snapped off trees and we ask guests not to burn the bamboo tree supports we use along our new hedgerows.
