Easter Holiday Glamping in Somerset
Our six safari tents open this week for the glamping season, and we still have some availability left for the upcoming Easter school holidays. Three quarters of our lambs have safely arrived, there are just nine ewes still to go - lots of singles this year which we're glad about as it means they're large and their mothers will have enough milk for them, these lambs will do so much better than any orphans on a bottle!
A fortnight of rain recently means the farm is starting to look green with little buds and leaves opening everywhere, there are primroses along the lane verges and all the signs of spring! As soon as we have some warmer days, the top glamping field is a sea of buttercups which flower through late April until after May Half Term.
Our safari lodges are perfectly cosy whatever the weather. We supply a generous supply of complimentary firewood and kindling for you to use on the large stove inside the lodge kitchen for your cooking and warming the tent space in the evening. If you've hired a hot tub, we supply a second supply for heating your water too. We have new curtains in the lodges this year which will help keep things cosy in the evening, there's LED lighting as well as tea lights so you'll have overhead light for board games in the evening or if you're curling up on the sofa with a book. The safari tents have warm duvets, blankets and throws, a supply of hot water bottles and rugs on the floor, at the start and end of the season we do suggest warm pyjamas and bed socks, woolly hats if you're spending time in the hot tub at night too!
Farm Stay in Somerset, Glamping and Holiday Cottages on a Working Farm
As well as safari tents, we have a glamping cabin and holiday cottage on the farm too, these stay open through the winter months, they're a bit smaller than the lodges, so a cheaper option and lovely for couples or families with young children. The cabin is close to our animals, bring your binoculars and you'll see the lambs from your bedroom window. The cabin is available for Easter weekend at the moment, a perfect Somerset farm stay!
Come Glamping For The King's Coronation Weekend Bank Holiday
We're fully booked now for the first May Bank Holiday, but we do have lots of availability for the King's Coronation weekend, our top field is completely free so available for a group booking of all three lodges (we ask groups to take a whole field). May is usually a gorgeous month to come glamping, we think it's the prettiest month on the farm when everything is a new lush green and the fields are looking their best. We have a good 4G signal on the farm if you want to tap into your phone and watch the Coronation celebrations in London! We might try and set up a TV in one of our barns, but bear with us there and we'll need to see if our WiFi can cope with that. If we think it's possible we'll post a message on our Facebook page.
