The Stable Cottage is attached to the farmhouse and comfortably sleeps four people and a baby in a cot. It is a ground level building near the farm barns; simple and unpretentious with a mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings.
Comfy sofas, cheerful rugs and pictures are set against the colourful walls with a wall mounted TV/DVD player. There’s a wood-burning stove for chillier days while the kitchen area is fitted with all the mod cons. The bedrooms are light and uncluttered, with brass bedsteads and homely, colourful quilts and the shower room is modern and spacious. The main bedroom at one end of the building has a king bed and the second bedroom has a pair of single beds with access outside to the terrace.
Outside the cottage there’s a raised terrace area with a table and BBQ and views around the farm. Exmoor and The Quantock Hills are close by as is the gorgeous North Devon coast. The nearest beach is 25 minutes from here and beautiful walks and cycling are right off our doorstep. With WiFi included, solar power, a bio mass boiler which heats both houses and borehole spring water, this is an environmentally conscious home.
The cottage is available throughout the year from £70 a night.
