The cottage is a converted stable attached to the farmhouse and opposite a large barn. It is a ground level holiday home; simple and unpretentious with a mix of traditional and contemporary furnishings. Comfy sofas, cheerful rugs and pictures are set against the colourful walls, slate floor and beams of the open-plan living space. There’s a wood-burning stove for chillier days while the kitchen area is fitted with all the mod cons. The bedrooms are light and uncluttered, with brass bedsteads and homely, colourful quilts; the shower room is modern and spacious.
Outside the cottage there’s a raised patio with a table and BBQ and views around the farm. Exmoor and the Quantocks are close by, the coast 20 minutes from here and beautiful walks and cycling are right off the doorstep. With WiFi included, solar power, a bio mass boiler which heats both houses and borehole spring water, this is a peaceful environmentally conscious home.
